A little introduction…

We’ve all been there before, seduced by the glittering sparkle of a single cupcake covered in sweet, sweet icing. Only to bite into it and be disappointed by its cloying sweetness and dry, crumbly texture. At The Bellflower Bakery there isn’t any of that. Instead, we have decided to return to the roots of British baking, back to the days when our grandmothers would spend all Saturday baking cakes and biscuits for the rest of the week’s sustenance. Just imagine a toasty kitchen filled with rustic, hearty and homely baked goods, cooling straight from the oven. Each piece is slightly different from the one next to it, but that’s part of the perfect imperfection that we love about baking everything by hand.

Just so you know, all of our products are made with fresh, seasonal (and often organic) ingredients that we pick up from our local farmers’ markets.  And hopefully at some point this year you will be seeing us in some of these markets and can taste some of our baked goods!
